Aryl & Aryl Derivatives Available For Purchase
At Chempanda, we offer a range of aryls and aryl derivative chemical compounds that can be shipped to anywhere across the globe. We offer over 21390 different compounds that are available in varying purities and quantities.
Our Aryl Suppliers
We have partnered with a range of chemical manufacturers who specialize exclusively in synthesizing aryl and their derivatives. With years of industry experience, our suppliers offer the most common aryl compounds, or can custom manufacture aryl compounds that you cannot purchase from most chemical suppliers.
With all orders, you can order the exact amount of chemical that you need - with no minimum order - in a cost and time effective manner that other suppliers cannot match.
Aryl Physical Properties & Structure
In organic chemistry, aryl refers to any functional group or substituent that derives from an aromatic ring, in place of a hydrogen atom, with the most basic aryl functional group being a phenyl (C6H5-).
The chemical and physical properties of aryls are determined the chemical structure of their functional groups, which makes it impossible to generalize on their properties.
Aryl Derivatives
There are many different examples of aryl compounds due to the range of functional groups. Some of the simplest aryl groups include tolyl, xylyl and naphthyl groups, which are formed in a cross-coupling reaction known as arylation.
Although the range of aryl compounds that can form can be complex, a common classification of aryl compounds are aryl halides (haloarenes), which are aromatic compounds where one or more hydrogen atoms bonded to an aromatic ring have been replaced by a halide.
The Reactivity of Aryl Compounds
Many aryl compounds are formed via a halogenation of compounds containing benzene rings to form aryl halides.
Due to steric hindrance or aryl halides, and the short carbon-halogen bond, they are relatively unreactive towards nucleophilic substitution reactions, making them less reactive than similar halogenoalkanes. However, these aryl halides can undergo elimination-addition reactions under the right conditions to form more complex aryl compounds.
Applications of Aryls & Derivatives
Aryl compounds are commonly used as intermediates to make larger molecules, with their use responsible for compounds in industries such as medicine, agriculture and healthcare.
The most common form of aryls - aryl halides - are produced at mass scale for applications such as intermediates for chemical reactions. They have previously been widely used as fire retardants, insecticides and herbicides, but their use has been significantly reduced in recent years due to their environmental impact.

An aryl group is the name given to the functional group that is produced when an aromatic ring complex is reduced to its simplest form by removing one hydrogen atom. The aromatic ring will almost always be constituted by a hydrocarbon in most instances.
